The mesh front makes so your gear can air dry, far reducing the chance of mildew compared to a solid closed pouch. But the backside is solid CORDURA fabric so that it won't pick up dirt when you lay it down. The webbing grab handle makes for easy access in your pack and so it can be hung up for camp organization or drying purposes.
