Who We Are
A Little History...
Our story begins decades ago with a young boy named Richard who loved spending time in the great outdoors. His mother would sew pouches and bags for his outdoor activities but eventually challenged him to make them himself. He learned to sew and continued creating more complex designs. Fast forward, Richard’s son Jayberry grew up with the same love for outdoor activities and needed pouches and bags sewn, just like his father did.
When Jayberry brought a small pack design to his mother in 2012, she encouraged him to learn how to sew himself. A few years later, Jayberry began using quality fabrics like 500d CORDURA nylon and posted his projects on an online discussion forum. Members of the forum started asking to buy his pouches and bags, which led to the launch of Tuff Possum Gear in November of 2017.
Tuff Possum Gear is a family in the business of equipping adventurers with durable, well designed, and proudly USA Made gear. With Tuff Possum Gear, you are set to climb the heights of Machu Picchu, walk down the streets of New York City, or just enjoy an afternoon out in the woods!
