I have a Hidden Woodsmen Fire Pouch in my large bag that I keep my fire kit in. It has everything but the kitchen sink and is an excellent choice for larger kits. However, I wanted something smaller and lighter that was still available in bright orange and had a durable zipper closure that I could carry a smaller fire kit in. And I wanted something of equal or better quality. Enter the Tuff Possum Gear Skittles Pouch. This thing is perfect for holding a Bic lighter, a 15-count tube of stormproof matches, a slide-top tin holding 8 fire plugs, a small homemade steel striker, a few fatwood tapers, a small hank of jute twine, and a 1½ diameter seven power burning lens wrapped in a piece of leather. There’s not much room leftover after the pouch has all that gear in it, but for my needs and my kit the Skittles Pouch is perfect. The orange fabric they use is super durable and is a beautiful, deep, bright color that seems to attract light to itself and almost glow when sitting down inside a dark pack. I would buy again without hesitation.

The perfect pouch I needed for my HPG recon harness. I use my harness as a radio chest pack for work. I got this pouch in blaze orange to keep a small fire kit in it. Now all the gear I carried fits nicely organized in my chest pack. I’ll be putting this to the test all winter.

Well made as always. The velcro back is great! Wish they were a little smaller (size of the pocket possibles would be great) and that they were made from Tweave but looking forward to more colors being available!
